KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 – The Malaysian pickleball scene reached a new milestone last Saturday as Picklefox, the nation’s premier pickleball retail brand, celebrated its second anniversary with the grand opening of its flagship store in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI).
The event, in collaboration with global pickleball giant CRBN, featured a special appearance by CRBN founders Tanner Tomassi and Ed Ju. The duo, renowned both for their professional play and their influential digital presence, joined the local community to mark two years of Picklefox’s growth and the brand's transition into its new flagship home.

The new flagship store serves as a dedicated hub for the sport, offering the latest in high-performance gear, including the full range of CRBN paddles. The move to TTDI represents Picklefox's commitment to providing a physical touchpoint for players to test equipment and connect with experts in an increasingly popular sport.
A highlight of the celebration was an exclusive Content Creators Session. This session served as a unique meet-and-greet, bringing together Malaysia's top pickleball content creators to foster community, share professional insights, and celebrate the sport’s rapid local growth.
Building a Brand and "Report Cards" of Success
During the session, Tanner and Ed Ju provided invaluable advice for creators looking to turn their passion into a profession. Tanner emphasized that while "inbound" interest from brands is ideal, creators must understand their specific value. He introduced the concept of a "report card," where creators quantify their impact (e.g. past sales or engagement metrics) to prove a return on investment (ROI) to potential partners.

Ed Ju added that brands prioritize creators who align with their values and can prove they are a "win-win" partner. He cautioned against becoming a "blocking billboard" with too many disjointed sponsorships, suggesting that creators should focus on one strong partnership first to build trust.
